Right from childhood, Vinita has had a passion for art. After coming to US, she enrolled in the Continuing Education Program at Meredith College and completed art courses in drawing, design and photography. She became a full-time professional artist right after her daughter was born in 2002. Being a mom and an artist has been a juggling act for her, but she has managed to foster her creative growth and evolve as an artist.
Over the years she has had numerous shows, has won awards and her work has been featured in art magazines and books. But she feels that an artist's journey is never complete! She also loves to teach and inspire others and has taught art for over 10 years.
Vinita lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband Sanjay and daughter Saumya. They have strong family ties and love their annual summer visits to Delhi, India.
